How to prepare for class:
- READ all of:
Brooke, Collin. Lingua Fracta: Toward a Rhetoric of New Media. New York: Hampton, 2009. Print.
- On the wiki, compose together a review of the book, with two main goals: first, offer summaries of what you see to be the book’s main arguments (together with any questions you wish to raise about those arguments) and, second, produce writing that reads as a coherent production of one voice.
- Also on the wiki, please choose one earlier writing about another class reading and edit and revise it so that it sounds like one coherent piece of academic response to the reading. (In class we’ll talk about the oddities of me asking you to take multiple responses and make them sound singularly coherent.)
All the blog and wiki posts are due no later than 5pm on October 9.
